BackErnesto is a partner in the Firm’s Energy and Project Finance practices.
He has extensive experience in cross-border financings and project finance as well as in the development of infrastructure and energy projects, including petrochemical, natural gas, electricity and renewable energy, representing project sponsors and lenders.
He has also been involved in numerous energy project investments and acquisitions. Prior to joining Galicia, Ernesto spent several years engaged in civil, administrative and commercial litigation work. This prior experience gives him a different view and better understanding on the risk profile of his clients’ transactions, complementing his project finance practice.
He holds an LL.M. in Corporate Law from Universidad Panamericana, an LL.M. in US Law from Boston University and a Law Degree from Universidad Anáhuac. He joined Galicia in 2007. He worked from 2014 to 2015 as a foreign associate in the Washington D.C. office of Mayer Brown.
He is recognized as an expert lawyer in The Legal 500 Latin American Guide for the Energy & Natural Resources and Projects & Infrastructure practices.
