BackRicardo demonstrates his natural talent for deal making in the Firm’s M&A, Private Equity and Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) practice groups.
He is an M&A attorney experienced in representing buyers, sellers and target companies in international, cross-border, local, private, public, strategic, competitive, mergers, acquisitions and joint venture operations, as well as other corporate matters for major commercial entities, private investment funds and family offices.
This extensive experience allows Ricardo to identify and focus on the most critical legal aspects of a deal, achieving his clients’ objectives and strategic agenda.
His private investment practice also includes representing international and local sponsors in debt and equity investments as well as in the formation of domestic private equity funds that address client demands.
As one of the leading partners of the Firm’s TMT practice, Ricardo is constantly involved in advising strategic clients in the implementation of alliances, structures and agreements related to artificial intelligence, machine learning, software as a service (SaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), anything as a service (XaaS), e-commerce and data privacy.
He also maintains a finance practice in which he has represented Mexican and foreign financial institutions and corporate borrowers in domestic and international transactions, including leveraged finance, syndicated facilities, and acquisition financing transactions.
In addition to providing legal advice to large corporate clients, and concerned about the challenges start-ups or non-profit entities may endure, Ricardo regularly participates in Pro Bono services at the Firm.
He graduated from Escuela Libre de Derecho and obtained an LL.M. degree in International Business Transactions from University College London. He is partner of the Firm since 2016.
