backRodrigo has been passionate about the banking system and financing transactions since the beginning of his career. After years of working as an in-house counsel for the corporate and investment banking department at one of the largest banks in Mexico, he joined Galicia and became a partner.
He advises national and international banks, financial institutions and borrowers across a broad range of industries on the structuring and negotiation of complex financing transactions. His experience includes corporate, real estate, domestic and cross-border financing, as well as state and municipal financing, project finance, debt financing, debt restructurings and secured transactions. He also advises banks and regulated financial institutions on regulatory matters and compliance.
He holds a Law Degree from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and an LL.M. from New York University. He also worked as a foreign associate in the New York office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
He is recognized by The Legal 500 Latin America and Latin Lawyer as one of Mexico’s leading lawyers in Banking & Finance and Real Estate.
