On May 21, 2025, the Agency for Safety, Energy and Environment (“ASEA”) enacted the Agreement through which the title is reformed, and various articles of the Administrative Provisions of General Nature that establish the Guidelines on Industrial Safety, Operational Safety and Environmental Protection for the Design, Construction, Pre-commissioning, Operation and Maintenance, Closure, Dismantling and Abandonment of Natural Gas Liquefaction Facilities are modified and repealed (Acuerdo por el cual se reforma la denominación, se modifican y derogan diversos artículos de las Disposiciones administrativas de carácter general que establecen los Lineamientos en materia de Seguridad Industrial, Seguridad Operativa y Protección al Medio Ambiente para el Diseño, Construcción, Pre-arranque, Operación y Mantenimiento, Cierre, Desmantelamiento y Abandono de las Instalaciones de Licuefacción de Gas Natural). Through this Agreement, the official title of the Administrative Provisions of General Nature (“DACGs”) was amended, as well as their content, with the aim of simplifying and, where appropriate, eliminating procedures contained in the applicable provisions.
