Rosemarie McLaren

Rosemarie discovered her passion for Finance Law at the onset of her career. Clients enjoy working with her because of her sharp focus, responsive nature and strong negotiation skills. She loves a challenge and truly enjoys finding her way around complex financial structures.

Her work is focused on local, cross-border, bilateral and syndicated loans. Over the years, she has specialized in commercial real estate, financing for municipal and state governments, construction loans and general corporate financing. She is sought after by companies that act as borrowers or guarantors in the lending market and by various financial entities, including banks and financial institutions.

She is originally from Costa Rica but feels completely at home in Mexico.

Rosemarie is a Fulbright Scholar and a Northwestern University Scholar. She holds an LL.M. with honors from Northwestern Pritzker University School of Law, a Law Degree from the University of Costa Rica and Law Degree from the Mexican Ministry of Public Education, which was validated by the CENEVAL exams.

She is an outstanding speaker. During her school years, she devoted a lot of time to moot courts. She participated in the international rounds at the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition in Washington, D.C.

Rosemarie is the co-leader at Galicia´s Monterrey office. She has been recognized by renowned international publications, such as Chambers Latin American Guide, Chambers Global Guide and The Legal 500 Latin American Guide, in the Banking & Finance and Corporate-Commercial practices. Latin Lawyer recognizes her as an expert lawyer in the Banking and Finance practice.
